The Ashport Lantern is Ashport's waterfront casino. Every spin, deal, roll, ticket or duel costs one casino token, and you get 75 tokens a day at the New Day (the NEON stock perk adds more). Every game shows its rules and house edge.
The house always wins a little
Each table has its own edge, listed on its page. On top of that, when a house game pays you more than your stake, the Lantern keeps 10% of the payout, but you always get at least your stake back. Pushes are never cut. Player-versus-player games take a cut of the pot instead (Standoff 3%, lottery 5%, poker rake 2%).
Games
| Game | Against | In short | Table edge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lantern Reels | House | Three reels, one line, and a jackpot that grows with every pull. | Returns about 95.7% plus the jackpot slice, so the edge is about 3.3%. |
| Tidewheel Roulette | House | Single-zero wheel. Stack chips on numbers, splits, corners and the outside. | Single zero: every bet returns 36/37, a 2.7% edge. |
| Over the Rail | House | Call the next card higher or lower. Every right call grows the pot. | The first call pays 97% of fair odds and every call after it pays fair odds, so the edge is 3% however long you ride. |
| Pier Keno | House | Mark one to ten numbers out of eighty. Twenty balls come up. | Each spot count returns 95-97%, an edge of 3-5%. |
| Dockyard Dice | House | Two dice and a felt full of bets. Make your point before a seven. | Pass 1.4%, Don't Pass 1.4%, Field 2.8%, Place 6/8 1.5%, Place 4/10 3.3%, Place 5/9 4%, Any Craps 4.4%. |
| Lantern Twenty-One | House | Six decks. Dealer stands on all 17. Blackjack pays 6 to 5. | About 1.8% with good play (6 to 5 blackjacks, dealer stands on soft 17). |
| Fortune Wheels | House | Three wheels, three prices. Cash, gear, tokens and one very rare crate. | Each wheel returns about 96% of its price in cash and item value (tokens and Marks are a bonus on top). |
| Back Room Draw | Players | Heads-up five-card draw against another player, fixed limit. | The house takes a small rake from the pot. |
| Pier Standoff | Players | Two players, one stake each, one walks away with the lot. | The house cuts 3% of the pot. |
| Harbor Lottery | Players | Daily, weekly and monthly draws. One ticket takes the pot. | The house cuts 5% of each pot. |
