The New Day happens at 00:00 UTC. It is when the city does its daily bookkeeping:

• Free Energy and Nerve refills come back (unused ones are saved, up to 10).
• Job pay can be collected again.
• Home upkeep, staff wages and rent are paid (housing).
• Companies pay wages and ads, and update loyalty and stars (companies).
• Factions earn respect and rackets from their turf.
• Casino tokens reset (casino) and the nightly lottery is drawn.
• Fixer missions offer new contracts.

City shop restocks run on their own clock, every few hours (see city shops).
