Exchange and trading
The Exchange order book (price then time priority, 5% seller tax), player stalls, the auction house and direct trades.
- Seller tax
- 5%, at least 1% with perks
- Open orders
- 30 (50 for members)
The Exchange is an order book for every tradable item. You place a buy order (a price you will pay) or a sell order (a price you will accept). The money or items are held in escrow while the order is open. When a buy and a sell cross, they fill at the resting order's price.
Orders are matched by price first, then by age: the best price fills first, and among equal prices the oldest order fills first. Orders can fill partly.
Tax
The seller pays 5% of every fill. The Business track at the Academy and a stock perk lower it, but never below 1%. Buyers pay no tax.
